Our team was excited to be back in person for this year’s INTIX Annual Conference – the biggest annual event for ticketing professionals – earlier this year. Not only has eCommerce fraud increased by 83% in 2020 alone, but cybersecurity professionals report a new attack every 3 seconds. However, there are steps operators can take to safeguard themselves and their patrons:
Be Proactive: it’s not a matter of if a cyber-attack will occur, but when. Putting the proper technology in place today is vital.
Train Staff to Lead with Empathy: A person with a fraudulent ticket isn’t necessarily a fraudster. You could happen to be assisting a patron who’s missing out on their dream concert or event due to fraud. Kindness is key!
Opt For “Invisible Tools” When Possible: Protecting patrons is essential, but it’s also important not to disrupt their experience.
